Visual Diary, 2020-2021
photo, text, video
Visual Diary (2020.3.18-2021.3.17) is a project encompassing photography, video, and text, developed during the first year of the pandemic. With the unexpected deceleration in the pace of our lives, I had the opportunity to closely examine nature. In the midst of the pandemic, I meticulously documented the ongoing changes in nature through photographs, text, and video for 365 days, contemplating themes of life, death, and our relationship with the natural world. At the same time, while documenting and writing, I shared this project on social media daily with a purpose to provide a source of positivity, to bring a healing power as well as an inspiration in the midst of the unstable and challenging time when most people were confined indoors.
